Top 5

I am listening to last.fm (music like Level 42), and the song 'Last Christmas' by Wham just reminded me of a discussion I had...well, last Christmas.

The question was:

What are your top 5 favorite Christmas Songs?

Being somewhat of a contrarian, and certainly not the most traditional of sorts I came up with the following list, and hope that you all will join in the discussion ('you all' being the two people who might take a moment to read this):

5. "It's Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" - U2

4. "All I Want for Christmas (is You)" - Mariah Carey

3. "Christmas in Hollis" - Run DMC

2. "Last Christmas" - Wham

1. "Do They Know it's Christmas" - Band Aid

I know that I will catch some flak for the Mariah Carey tune, but it's quite catchy, and she is so lovely...daft, but lovely.

Cheers! Merry Christmas in July

How can you forget?

Christmas Wrapping - The Waitresses

For my money better than Mariah all 12 days of Christmas.

Umm...Merry Christmas Baby - Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie (<3<3<3) and Bing Crosby singing Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy and maybe The Ramones with Merry Christmas (I don't wanna fight tonight). Hehe..

Tony- I like that one, too..."Oh damn, guess what I forgot..." but the top 5 is the top 5, not the top six...and since your list consisted of only 1...

Corie- The David Bowie/Bing Crosby might merit consideration for my top 5, too...I have to admit.
